The restaurant/arcade group, which spent about $13 million in measured media last year, according to TNS Media Intelligence, had been with Dallas-based Slingshot for two years.
Slingshot was invited to defend the business but declined to participate in a pitch being handled by Pile & Co. The pitch includes: Energy BBDO, Chicago; Doner, Southfield, Mich.; Saatchi & Saatchi, New York; and Merkley & Partners, New York.
D&B's results for the first half of this year, at least, suggest the chain has held up reasonably well during a tough period for casual-dining restaurants. Sales climbed 4.3%, to $278.7 million during that period.
