Representatives for Delta and its consultant, Rojek Consulting Group, could not be reached for comment.
Executives said the account's incumbent agency, independent BrightHouse, the Atlanta-based boutique shop that was handed creative duties last year, is still participating in the review and will go up against Interpublic Group of Cos.' Lowe; WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather and J. Walter Thompson; and Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day and BBDO Worldwide. All those contenders are based in New York.
BBDO had the Delta Air Lines account for 40 years, until 1997.
