DHL AWARDS ASSIGNMENT TO MEDIA PLANNING GROUP

$5 Million Account Covers Latin America, Mexico

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Media Planning Group, the media arm of Havas Advertising, has won the $5 million media buying and planning business for Mexico and Latin America for DHL Worldwide Express, an agency spokeswoman said.

A Latin American team within Media Planning's new Global Operations unit pitched the business in a review.

The Latin American portion of the account will be handled through the agency's office in Miami.

The Global Operations unit, which was launched this year, is headed by Media Planning's U.K. CEO, Bob Offen. The division was created to develop and coordinate pitches for global clients and lead local teams working on global accounts
