A typical workday at a B2B public-relations firm isn't what it used to be, based on this video DiGennaro Communications recently uploaded to YouTube, showing staff members dancing and lip-synching to "Canadian Idol" star Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe."
(FYI, DGC didn't pitch us this. We found it the old fashioned way -- stalking Facebook.)
If you're done watching and you have more time to waste, compare this video to the original clip DGC is mimicking. It features a slew of teenyboppers, such as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and friends, jumping around and wiggling to the song. Jepsen's catchy tune seems to be inspiring many tribute videos from folks such as Katy Perry, a Papa John's delivery man and even the Harvard Baseball Team.
We're not sure how this fits into their typical workday of phoning reporters and conducting client conference calls. But as DGC notes on the "culture" section of its website, "Our Social Planning Committee makes it a point to keep things hopping during and after work hours. Its DGC's way of helping us think differently and keep bright, innovative ideas flowing for clients." (They're flowing all right).
