NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Dole Food Co. has awarded its $5 million to $10 million account for Dole Fruit Bowls to Interpublic Group of Cos.' Dailey & Associates, West Hollywood, Calif.
Dole's Packaged Foods
division put the account, formerly at Mendelsohn/Zien, Los Angeles, into review three weeks ago, citing the need for a change on the brand, according to Betta Gallego, vice president of marketing at Dole.
The review consisted of six agencies Ms. Gallego declined to identify, and did not include the incumbent. Dailey was chosen because of its extensive food and packaged goods experience, she said.
Dole spent $3.6 million in measured media for the Dole Fruit Bowls in 2001, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR.
