DONER GETS HOTELS.COM AD ACCOUNT

Creative Work Valued at $50 Million

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Hotels.com has selected independent agency Doner to handle creative duties for its estimated $50 million account, according executives close to the matter.

Hotels.com declined to comment. An announcement is expected later this week.

Summer travel season
The online travel company, which is owned by New York-based InterActiveCorp, is gearing up for the peak summer travel season. Hotels.com spent $49 million in measured media for the first 11 months of 2003 and $23 million in 2002, according to TNS' Media Intelligence/CMR.

Doner, based in Southfield, Mich., beat out Interpublic Group of Cos.' Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, in Boston, for the account. The agencies could not immediately be reached.

Hotel.com's previous agency was independent SBI of Portland, Ore.
