CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Buffets Inc. is set to select independent Doner, Southfield, Mich., to handle creative and media duties for its Old Country Buffets and Home Town Buffet restaurant chains, executives close to the situation said today.

A spokesman for Doner declined comment.

Doner won the account following a review that included the incumbent, Omnicom Group's BBDO Worldwide, Minneapolis; Interpublic Group of Cos.' Lowe, New York; and independent Christy MacDougall Mitchell Bodden, New York.

Consultant AAR Partners conducted the review for the Eagan, Minn.-based company.

A spokeswoman for Buffets said no decision has been made and that the company hopes to have a decision within the month.
