EURO RSCG WINS $20 MILLION CAP GEMINI ACCOUNT

Work Includes Ad Creative and Media Buying

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Paris-based Cap Gemini Ernst & Young is awarding its $20 million international account to Havas' Euro RSCG Worldwide, according to executives close to the situation.

The two final contenders that battled it out for the work were Euro RSCG and McCann-Erickson Worldwide, part of Interpublic Group of Cos. Euro RSCG offices in Paris, London and New York were all involved in the pitch.

The consulting company heard pitches in earlier stages from Omnicom Group's TBWA Worldwide and Grey Global Group's Grey Worldwide. The review was handled by search consultant Videotheque, Paris. The account includes both creative and media.

StrawberryFrog, Amsterdam, has handled the account on a project basis. The previous agency of record was now defunct D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, closed after its acquisition by Publicis Groupe.

Cap Gemini Ernst & Young was formed in May 2000 after Cap Gemini bought Ernst & Young's practice.
