Gotham Names Two to Succeed McGuinness

Nick Johnson, Lyle Tick to Share President title

By Published on .

After Peter McGuinness resigned as chairman-CEO of Interpublic Group of Cos.' Gotham to take a role at Omnicom Group's DDB earlier this week, the New York agency has announced successors. Chief Marketing Officer Nick Johnson and Managing Director Lyle Tick will assume the role of co-presidents immediately.

That's just days after Mr. McGuinness, who's responsible for many recent account wins at the McCann Worldgroup agency, decamped to become president-CEO of DDB, Chicago. His departure comes while Gotham is one of five finalists in BMW's review for a new creative shop.

Messrs. Johnson and Tick have been with the agency since 2010 and 2008, respectively.
