Independent Shop Wins Review for $9.6 Million Account

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Auto anti-theft device LoJack has handed its $9.6 million advertising account to the Via Group.

According to people familiar with the account, the Maine-based independent agency, which also handles advertising work for Monster.com, was awarded the duties following a review.

Boston-based search consultancy Pile & Co. handled the review. The account had previously been with Interpublic Group of Cos.' Hill Holiday Connors Cosmopulos, Boston, which did not participate.

Calls for comment to the agencies and company were not returned.
