Campaign for Florida Marlins Estimated at $2.5 Million

By Published on .

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Major League Baseball's Florida Marlins have awarded their creative campaign to Harris Drury Cohen, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Billings were estimated at $2.5 million.

Harris Drury's charge is to reinvigorate the brand in the community, with a selling point being that Miami is one of only 30 cities in which to see Major League Baseball live. The team will celebrate its 10th anniversary season in 2003 and is coming off a year in which it drew less than 1 million fans.

In fact, if not for a gracious benefactor, who bought 15,000 tickets to the last home game of the season at Pro Player Stadium, the Marlins would have finished last in the 30-team league in attendance. Instead, they finished 29th.
