SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- Accor Economy Lodging's Red Roof, Dallas, has awarded its $10 million to $15 million advertising account to Interpublic Group of Cos.' Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, San Francisco.

Other contenders in the pitch included Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day, Playa del Rey, Calif.; DeVito/Verdi, New York; and Cramer-Krasselt, Chicago.

Incumbent the Richards Group, Dallas, did not participate in the review but will continue its 16-year relationship with Motel 6.

Red Roof has some 330 properties, primarily in the Southeast, East and Midwest.
