Hotels.com Taps TBWA for $68 Million Account

Omnicom Shop Bests Y&R, Saatchi in Review

By Published on .

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Hotels.com has handed creative duties on its estimated $68 million advertising account to Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day following a review, said an executive familiar with the matter.

Other finalists were WPP Group's Young & Rubicam and Publicis Groupe's Saatchi & Saatchi. The incumbent on the account, independent Doner, Southfield, Mich., did not defend.

The hotel-booking website reviewed its creative and media accounts in a parallel review; independent TargetCast won media duties last month. Other finalists in the media review were independent Horizon and Publicis' Optimedia. The reviews were handled by New York consultancy Ark Advisors.

A spokeswoman for TBWA/Chiat/Day referred calls to the client for comment; a spokeswoman for Hotels.com could not be reached by press time.
