For the Chicago-based satellite/cable provider, which distributes custom content and advertising to approximately 1,000 health-club locations, Doner is its first agency of record.
For Southfield, Mich.-based Doner, the win comes at a critical time, as the agency has lost a number of clients this year, including Blockbuster, Hotels.com, La-Z-Boy, Outback Steakhouse, Six Flags and Sylvan Learning Centers.
IdeaCast handed the business to Doner following a four-agency shootout. The other agencies were Interpublic Group of Cos.' Mullen, Wenham, Mass., and indie shops MMB, New York, and SS&K, New York.
The account review was handled by Santa Monica, Calif., search consultancy Select Resources International, which declined to comment.
Executives at Doner could not be immediately reached. A spokeswoman for SS&K declined to comment, while spokesmen for Mullen and MMB referred calls to the client.
