Account Is for Consolidated Media Buying and Planning

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Interpublic Group of Cos.' Initiative Media Worldwide has been awarded American Standard Co.'s consolidated media buying and planning business, the marketer announced today.

According to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR, American Standard, based in Piscataway, N.J., spent just over $15 million in measured media last year. The company markets Trane and American Standard brand air-conditioning systems and bath and kitchen products under the American Standard and Porcher brands.

Interpublic sibling Carmichael Lynch, Minneapolis, is the marketer's creative agency for the bath and kitchen products, while Foote Cone & Belding Worldwide, Minneapolis, handles the air-conditioning products.

Initiative was awarded the business following a lengthy review with several undisclosed shops.
