NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- H&R Block assigned spot TV buying to the Cash Plus unit of Interpublic Group of Cos.' Campbell Mithun, Minneapolis.

The account had been in-house. Campbell Mithun is H&R Block's lead creative agency.

Other media buying was awarded to Campbell Mithun and Interpublic's media negotiating arm Magna Global, New York, from WPP Group's Media Edge:CIA, New York.

H&R Block spent $34 million in measured media in 2001, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR.
