Sought Agency for 'Growing Spot-Advertising Needs'

CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Jack in the Box said it named Horizon Media, Los Angeles, to handle media planning and buying account after a review.

The San Diego, Calif.-based fast-food chain spent $67 million on measured media last year, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR.

Aegis Group's Carat, Los Angeles, had the account for a decade before losing it in a review with a small group of contenders.

He would not disclose or confirm any of the participants or other review details.

Horizon will begin duties "in the near term," said the spokesman, who added that creative duties will continue with Secret Weapon Marketing, Santa Monica, Calif.
