KFC spokeswoman Bonnie Warschauer said the review was "part of our efforts to reinvigorate KFC sales."

She was not able to say when an agency decision is expected.

The Louisville, Ky.-based unit of Yum Brands has asked its incumbent agency, Omnicom Group's BBDO Worldwide, New York, to pitch the work along with an as-yet-underdetemined office of Interpublic Group of Cos.' Foote, Cone & Belding Worldwide, according to executives.

The work in play will be the first campaign following KFC's split with its former pitchman, the actor Jason Alexander.
