MASERATI PARKS ACCOUNT WITH BROUILLARD COMMUNICATIONS

Had Been With Arnell Group

DETROIT (AdAge.com) -- Fiat's Maserati North America named marketing services agency Brouillard Communications, New York, as its agency after a recent review.

Neither contenders nor billings were revealed.

The WPP Group-owned shop will work on brand positioning, advertising, public relations and event management for the luxury sports car brand.

Omnicom Group's Arnell Group, New York, won the estimated $10 million account a year ago. At the time both Maserati and Chrysler Group, also an Arnell client, said they had no conflict concerns.

After an 11-year absence, Maserati returned to the U.S. last month, when its nearly $90,000 Spyder model went on sale. The 2+2 Coupe model arrives in showrooms in May.

The marketer said it expects to sell some 1,200 of its sports cars this year. Maserati North America is based on Englewood Cliffs, N.J.
