SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- Mattel has named four finalists in the review for the creative portion of three pieces of its toy business, a company spokeswoman said.
They are roster shops
Interpublic Group of Cos.' Foote, Cone & Belding Worldwide, El Segundo, Calif., and Chicago; Interpublic sibiling McCann-Erickson Worldwide, San Francisco; WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather
Worldwide, Culver City, Calif., and WPP sibling the Y&R
Cos., Irvine, Calif., and New York.
Mattel, which last year spent $182 million on advertising, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR, said it wants to "maximize efficiencies.
The three assignments are for the boys/entertainment division; Fisher Price's Infants & Preschool licensed entertainment properties; and an international assigment.
