McCann Worldgroup Chairman-CEO Harris Diamond is continuing to make a series of management shifts in an effort to revamp the Interpublic Group of Cos.' agency network.

His latest hire is Suzanne Powers, who joins McCann from MDC Partners' CP&B, where she served as global chief strategy officer. She takes on the same role at McCann, and succeeds Daryl Lee. He was promoted to global CEO at UM, the network's media arm.

Ms. Powers joined CP&B in 2010 after spending a decade at Omnicom Group's TBWA, where she worked on Nivea, Mars and GSK.

At the MDC Partners agency, her position will no longer exist and CP&B is not planning to replace her. The agency has restructured its planning operation.

Said Harris Diamond, Chairman & CEO, McCann Worldgroup. "Suzanne has the energy, passion and skills to lead our incredibly talented group of strategic executives. She brings us a unique perspective on how to build global insights and ideas across our brands, geographies and culture."

It's a much bigger job than she had a CP&B, as McCann has far more offices in more countries around the world that will be her responsibility.

"Suzanne is a truly terrific person and we are very grateful for her many contributions to the agency," said Andrew Keller, CP&B's CEO, in a statement. "We know that her new position at McCann will utilize her unique skills, and we are anxious to see all that she will accomplish."

Other management changes Mr. Diamond has made in the eight months since taking the helm at McCann include bringing back Joyce King Thomas to oversee Mastercard creative, and moving Bill Kolb from CEO at digital agency MRM to lead the General Motors account.
