NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Atlanta-based restaurant company Rare Hospitality International has named Havas' McKinney & Silver, Raleigh, N.C., as its new agency.
The incumbent ad agency, Scharbo & Co., an Atlanta independent,
did not defended the account, as Rare Hospitality seeks to increase its ad spending. The marketer last year spent $8 million in measured media, according to figures from TNS Media Intelligence/CMR. Spending is estimated at $25 million.
Rare Hospitality is the parent of Capital Grille, Longhorn Steakhouse and Bugaboo Creek Steak House.
Hasan & Co., of Raleigh, handled the review, which also included Havas' Arnold Worldwide, McLean, Va., and Interpublic Group of Cos.' Mullen in Winston-Salem, N.C.
