NESTLE REALIGNS GLOBAL PET FOOD ACCOUNTS

Fallon to Oversee Worldwide Efforts for Purina Division

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- As expected, Nestle has realigned creative assignments globally for its Purina PetCare division.

Publicis Groupe, led by its Fallon Worlwide unit in Minneapolis, will oversee global efforts for the Purina umbrella brand as well as individual Pro Plan, O.N.E., Dog Chow and Puppy Chow brands. Fallon previously handled only U.S. advertising for all but Pro Plan.

also gained a spot on the Nestle roster with the assignment of Cat Chow, Kitten Chow, Friskies and Gourmet brands in Europe. Interpublic Group of Cos. agencies Avrett Free & Ginsburg and McCann Erickson Worldwide together will handle Fancy Feast, Friskies, Cat Chow and Kitten Chow in North America, Latin America and Japan.

Billings for the varied accounts were not disclosed.

Nestle, headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland, earlier this spring awarded Interpublic's Universal McCann its $375 million media buying account for Purina after a review.
