NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- American Chemical Council picked three New York agencies as finalists for its $50 million creative assignment.

The contenders are WPP-owned shops Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide and Y&R Advertising and Havas' Euro RSCG Worldwide.

Bob Wolf Partners/TPG is handling the review.

The Arlington, Va.-based council wants the ad campaign to improve the public's perception of the contribution of chemicals to improve the standard of living.
