PEP BOYS MOVES ACCOUNT TO RICHARDS GROUP

Hispanic Affiliate Grupo Gallegos to Handle Work

CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Pep Boys, Philadelphia, moved its estimated $40 million advertising account to the Richards Group, Dallas, and its Hispanic affiliate, Grupo Gallegos, from Omnicom Group's DDB Worldwide, Chicago.

There was no review, according to a Richards Group spokeswoman.

"We are honored to be associated with an 80-year-old standard-setting brand," said Stan Richards, principal for the Richards Group.

Richards Group has worked with the Home Depot, Motel 6 and Chick-fil-A, among others.
