FOUR TO PITCH SONY'S EUROPEAN MEDIA ACCOUNT

Part of $1 Billion Global Review; Latin America Still Undecided

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Sony Corp will hear pitches for the European rollout of its $1 billion global consolidated media review this week, according to a spokesman at the company.

Contenders for the European portion of the business are Bcom3 Group's Starcom Motive, Omnicom Group's OMD, WPP Group's MindShare; and Zenith Media, jointly owned by Public Groupe and Cordiant Communications Group.

Consolidated Business Is for North America
of the process was decided in February, when the company awarded Interpublic Group of Cos.' Universal McCann, New York, its $600 million North America media account in a review.

The second part of the global consolidation, in Asia Pacific, was decided in favor of Zenith Media in March.

Sony's consolidated media account in Latin America has yet to be decided. A date has not been set for the Latin American portion of the global review, which involves Sony Electronics, Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment.
