PIZZA HUT TROLLS FOR 'SECONDARY' AGENCY

Says BBDO Is Still Primary Shop

CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Pizza Hut Corp. has confirmed it is conducting a review to find a "secondary" ad agency to handle special project work.

Omnicom Group's BBDO, New York, has been Pizza Hut's national agency since 1987, when the pie chain split from then Chiat/Day.

"BBDO is still our starting quarterback," said a spokeswoman of the Tricon Global Restaurant unit.

She noted that all review finalists have been identified but would not name the agencies.

BBDO referred calls to Pizza Hut.
