SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- Poultry marketer Foster Farms has narrowed the review for its $7 million to $9 million creative advertising account.

Seven agencies were named semifinalists.

They are: Omnicom Group's BBDO West and DDB Worldwide, both San Francisco; Dentsu's Colby & Partners, Santa Monica, Calif.; MDC Partners' Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Venice, Calif.; Publicis Groupe's Publicis & Hal Riney, San Francisco; independent WongDoody, Los Angeles, and WPP Group's Y&R Advertising, San Francisco.

Another round of cuts will be made, and finalists will compete against the incumbent on the account, Omnicom's Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, according to search consultant, Select Resources International, Santa Monica, Calif.

The privately held marketer is based in Livingston, Calif.
