Publicis is integrating Sapient into its business at the highest level with the new appointment of Sapient's Jerry Greenberg to its Supervisory Board as an independent director.
Publicis said in early November that it had inked a deal to acquire Sapient, a Boston-based digital network, for $3.7 billion in an all-cash transaction at $25 per share. The deal closed last month.
Mr. Greenberg, who serves as co-chairman on Sapient's board, will arrive as three existing board members exit, the company said: Hélène Ploix, Gérard Worms and Henri-Calixte Suaudeau.
"On the basis of the Nomination Committee's analysis, the Board considered that the Groupe would benefit from Jerry A. Greenberg's great expertise in technology and the digital world, as well as from his impressive record in terms of innovation, leadership and growth," the company said in a statement.
He joins a board comprised of eleven members, including six women and five men, of whom six are independent Directors.
