RB has awarded its consolidated global vitamins, minerals and supplements creative accounts with McCann Worldgroup, giving the Interpublic agency its second major win this year from the company formerly known as Reckitt Benckiser.

Brands involved include MegaRed, Airborne and Digestive Advantage, formerly owned by Schiff, which RB acquired last year. RB spent $73 million in measured media in the U.S. alone on the brands last year and $38 million through September of this year, according to Kantar Media.

The brands were previously handled by Karlen Williams Graybill, New York, in the U.S. and Havas Worldwide in the rest of the world. It marks the second health-care business loss this week for Havas, which also saw accounts it has handled for as long as 30 years consolidated with BBDO and JWT by Bayer in the wake of that company's acquisition of Merck consumer brands.

Representatives for Havas and KWG could not immediately be reached for comment. A McCann spokesman referred calls to RB.

In a statement, RB said, the decision to move the vitamin and supplement brands to McCann "recognizes the excellent work they have already done on the Mucinex brand with the development of a new campaign that has been on air in the U.S. since October."

Earlier this year, RB appointed three new agencies, including McCann, which also picked up Delsym; Droga5, which picked up Air Wick and Clearasil; and Wieden & Kennedy, which picked up Finish.
