CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Two agencies remain in competition for Toronto-based RBC Financial Group's estimated $22 million English-language creative account.

WPP Group's J. Walter Thompson and Omnicom's BBDO Canada will continue to the final round, which is being conducted by AAR Partners, New York.

Final phase
"As we enter the final phase of our search, we would like to congratulate the agencies involved throughout the process for the insights and enthusiasm they have brought to the table," Gord Kerr, director of advertising for RBC Financial Group, said in a statement.

RBC plans to award the account by the end of November.

Interpublic Group of Cos.' MacLaren McCann, Toronto, the onetime incumbent, continues to handle sponsorship marketing, brand and merchandising design, and media-buying duties.

RBC Financial Group is a unit of the Royal Bank of Canada.
