Incumbent Eisner Communications, Baltimore, will compete against three other finalists, which will be pared from 15 agencies now, said Gary LaBella, vice president of advertising for the Reston, Va., trade group. He declined to name the participants.
The winner will be tapped shortly after the four finalists make their creative presentations in early March. The new agency will then handle creative that will run for three years starting in 2003.
Eisner's work will continue into next year as the trade group winds down its second, three-year ad effort.
Mr. LaBella said his ad budget is roughly $40 million over the three years. There is no consultant.
