Those agencies are: independent Cliff Freeman and Partners, New York, which handles creative; Interpublic Group of Cos.' Initiative Media, New York, which has the media assignment; merchandising agency Interpublic's Zipatoni, St. Louis; and public relations agency Ogilvy PR, Denver, part of WPP Group.
Requests for proposals have been sent to WPP's Ogilvy & Mather and Berlin Cameron/Red Cell, both New York; Omnicom Group's Goodby Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco and TBWAChiatDay, Playa del Rey, Calif; Interpublic's Carmichael Lynch, Minneapolis; Deutsch, Los Angeles; Martin Agency, Richmond, Va.; Publicis Groupe's Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis; and Publicis & Hal Riney San Francisco; and independents Wong Doody, Seattle; Modernista, Boston; Mad Dogs & Englishmen and Wieden and Kennedy, both New York; and media shop Camelot Communications, Dallas.
Ms. Lange expects to name five finalists by the first week in July and to make a final decision by the first week of August.
