NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Allied Domecq Spirits and Wine, Westport, Conn., awarded its estimated $7.7 million Sauza Tequila account to dRush, New York, a joint venture between Russell Simmons and Interpublic Group of Cos.

The urban agency already handles the nearly $10 million account for Allied's Courvoisier Cognac brand.

Other contenders for the business included Omnicom Group's Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco; Modernista!, Boston; and Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Miami.
