CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Sears Holdings has shifted its digital media account to Publicis Groupe's Digitas.
The work was previously handled by Havas' MediaContacts unit.
Sears Holdings, which owns mega-retailers Sears and Kmart, spent $28.9 million online in the U.S. last year, according to Kantar Media. That figure does not include Canada, where the company also has significant holdings.
The move comes in the wake of a 4% revenue decline at Sears Holdings in 2009, as Kmart sales strengthened and Sears struggled amid a tough recession for retailers.
It's a welcome boost to Digitas, which recently won digital and direct work for Kaiser Permanente but parted ways with Wrigley.
A phone call to a Sears Holdings spokesman wasn't immediately returned.
