Dept. of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Work Worth $12 Million

CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity today named six semifinalists for its $12 million tourism account.

Continuing to the next level in the review are the Chicago offices of Interpublic Group of Cos.' Campbell-Mithun; WPP Group's J. Walter Thompson and Y&R Advertising; Havas' Euro RSCG Tatham and independents Hoffman York and Grant Jacoby, according to the department.

Finalists will be named in November.

Omnicom Group's BBDO Worldwide, Chicago, the incumbent, declined to participate in the review. Pile and Co. is conducting the search.
