Six Move on for 10-Year $80-$110 Million Account

CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Six finalists remain in the 10-year, $80 million to $110 million Minnesota state anti-smoking review.

The review was initiated by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Minnesota's Center for Tobacco Reduction and Health Improvement.

Havas Advertising's Arnold Worldwide, San Francisco; MDC Corp.-backed Crispin Porter Bogusky, Miami; Ground Zero, Los Angeles; BVK, Milwaukee; and Omnicom Group's BBDO Worldwide and Interpublic Group of Cos.' Carmichael Lynch, both Minneapolis, a Blue Cross spokesman said.

A decision is expected in early July. Minneapolis-based consultant Jan Apple is handling the review.

The campaign's spending comes from a $252 million endowment the insurer received as part of the state's settlement with the tobacco industry in the late 1990s.
