SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- Carlson Restaurants Worldwide's casual dining chain T.G.I. Friday's has placed its estimated $40 million to $50 million advertising account into review.

Incumbent Publicis Groupe's Publicis in the West, Dallas, will participate, according to review consultant Select Resources International.

T.G.I. Friday's has restaurants in 52 nations, but the account is only for its domestic business. The chain has 500 restaurants in 47 states.

The chain spent $33 million in measured media in 2000 and $20 million for the first six months of this year, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR.
