Omnicom Shop Also Snares A&E Business

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Investment consultant AXA Advisors, New York, is expected to announce it hired Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day, New York, to handle its $10 million AXA financial advertising account.

A spokesman for the client denied the decision has been made, but executives close to the review said TBWA was selected after a final presentation that included Boston independent McCarthy Mambro Bertino.

Seiter & Miller, New York, had handled the account since 1997.

AXA Financial received $2.1 million in measured media ad support in the first 10 months of last year, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR.

TBWA/Chiat/Day, New York, also won the account of A&E Television Networks, New York.
