NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- MoneyGram Payment Systems hired Thomas & Perkins, Denver, as lead agency for its $10 million account, replacing Interpublic Group of Cos.' Campbell Mithun, Minneapolis.

Thomas & Perkins will begin work immediately on a campaign that will break shortly after the first of the year.

The assignment does not affect Denver-based Moneygram's multicultural marketing efforts, which are handled by Casanova Pendrill Publicidad and Admerasia.

The review, handled in-house, included Denver-area agencies McClain Finlon Advertising, Sterling-Rice Group and Cactus Communications.
