American Chemistry Council to Pick Finalists This Month

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- The American Chemistry Council has narrowed the review for its anticipated $50 million advertising account to six agencies, according to the review consultant handling the process.

The contenders are Omnicom Group's DDB Worldwide, Chicago; Havas' Euro RSCG; WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide and Y&R Advertising; Grey Global Group's Grey Worldwide; and Interpublic Group of Cos.' McCann-Erickson Worldwide, all based in New York, said Dan Pearlman, co-CEO and managing partner of Bob Wolf Partners/TPG.

Mr. Pearlman said the list would be cut to two to three finalists later this month with a decision expected in early April.

The Arlington, Va.-based council wants the ad campaign to improve the public's perception of the contribution of chemicals to improve the standard of living.
