WPP Shops Y&R, OgilvyOne Move to Next Round

By Published on .

BOSTON (AdAge.com) -- Vignette Corp., Austin, Texas, has narrowed its search in its estimated $12 million to $15 million review to two WPP Group agencies.

OgilvyOne, New York, and Y&R Advertising, San Francisco, will move into the next round, according to people close to the situation.

The content management solutions provider eliminated Havas Advertising's Arnold Worldwide, McLean, Va., and Interpublic Group of Cos.' Mullen, Wenham, Mass.

Vignette spent $5 million in measured media in 2000 but nothing last year, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR.

The company had no agency when it launched the review, though Bcom3 Group's Leo Burnett, Chicago, had handled the business recently.

A decision is expected next week.
