NEW YORK (AdAge.com) --Yahoo! has placed a communications assignment for HotJobs, its online job service, at Bouchez Kent & Co., New York, executives for both companies said.

Yahoo! and Bouchez declined to comment on the nature of the assignment, billings on the account and whether there was a review. The account had been at Omnicom Group's Brand Architecture International.

A Yahoo! spokesperson said that while Soho Square will manage the company's overall brand advertising as well as specific properties such as Yahoo! Personals and the online music channel Launch, it will not work on HotJobs-related projects in the near term.

Yahoo!'s HotJobs spent $7.1 million in measured media in the U.S. in 2002, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR. Overall, Yahoo! spent $41.6 million in measured media in the U.S. in 2002.

HotJobs had 16.5% of the online jobs category in the top 20 U.S. markets for the month of June, according to Corzen's Online Recruitment Market Share Scorecard. CareerBuilder led the tally with 29.8%, followed closely by Monster with 29.6% and local newspapers in the top 20 markets racked up a 26% share.
