Ferrero USA, which markets mint brand
Interpublic Group of Cos.' McCann-Erickson and Universal McCann had handled the creative and media, respectively. The media review came down to Zenith and WPP Group's MindShare. In Europe the media business is split between Zenith Media; Carat, part of the Aegis Group; and MindShare.
According to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR, Ferrero spent $20 million in measured media in the U.S. between January and November 2003 and $34.6 million the previous year.
The media review was conducted by Compass Communications, Tarrytown, N.Y. Select Resources International, Santa Monica, Calif., is handling the creative review. Arnold Worldwide, New York, part of Havas, is one of the contenders, along with other undisclosed shops.
