A Lighter Shade of Green

For the second year in a row, an ongoing study by Wirthlin Worldwide has found that two out of three Americans support environmental protection at any cost. That's down from 76 percent in 1997. Their stance may be softening, but most consumers contend they are committed to green issues. While only one in ten call themselves "active environmentalists," 56 percent say they are sympathetic to environmental concerns. Let's check their garbage to see if that sympathy carries over to recycling.
