For those who are not familiar with the Census Bureau's Web site, the American FactFinder can be one of the most valuable pages for people in all industries. This site may be extremely useful to individuals or families planning a move, real estate investors or anyone who is simply interested in the demographic, economic or housing characteristics of their hometowns.

The best part of this site is a page that allows the visitor to type in the name of a town or city in which they are interested and in return get a complete demographic breakdown of the area. To get to this section, click on the “Fact Sheet link at the top of the left-hand side of the main page. After entering the name of the locality of interest, the initial response is a general fact sheet, but by clicking on the links that say “Show More next to each topic, you will be treated to additional extensive statistics. Visitors are also able to access information geographically by clicking on the “Map feature.
