Use of caller ID has quadrupled in the past four years, reports Arbitron NewMedia, and it's not just high-income households trying to avoid calls from telemarketers and the in-laws. Thirty-nine percent of people aged 16 to 74 in households earning $25,000 or less have caller ID, roughly equivalent to the percent of households making $75,000 or more that use the service.
