Eligible Benefits

College graduates entering the workforce today want the sort of job benefits that will have a greater impact on their little black books than on their bank books. According to an online poll conducted by Jobtrack.com, an online job-listing service, a majority of college students and recent graduates (61 percent) want benefits that are related to lifestyle needs rather than financial ones. Such findings further support the belief that today's new grads place a high priority on balancing work with their outside lives, says Richard White, Career Center director at Rutgers University: "After watching their parents' generation sacrifice time for their careers, the current generation has decided that they would rather have free time to spend with their friends and family."
