Bring on the beer and brats! It's time for Octoberfest - and there are plenty of people waiting for the festivities to begin. Roughly 31 million U.S. adults told the Travel Industry Association of America that they've attended a festival while on vacation in the past year. Of that group, one-third stopped by an arts or music festival, and 22 percent went to an ethnic, folk, or heritage festival. Festival-goers differ from U.S. travelers overall: They're more likely to be younger (41 years vs. 45 years), have kids (52 percent vs. 46 percent), and earn more money ($53,000 vs. $47,000). No data on corn-dog consumption yet.
