At-work broadband access is growing at lightning speed. The number of people with increased bandwidth at the office will more than double to 55 million in four years, from 24 million in 2000, according to Jupiter Research. And while a robust 57 percent of the 42.7 million at-work Internet users make use of broadband on their jobs presently, the number will jump to 87 percent by 2005, predicts Jupiter. As broadband reaches critical mass in the workplace and makes inroads into connections to consumers outside the office, companies with their targets fixed on these “multimodal consumers will certainly face a 24/7 challenge.
